School Education Program

Our surf education program is available for both Primary and Secondary schools. It is a comprehensive curriculum designed to develop student awareness, understanding, skills and values around aquatic and beach safety, management and recreation.  We offer an extremely flexible surf program, catering to the unique needs of each school and their students. 

Our program is designed to articulate with the Western Australian and National Curriculum, with mapping to both scope and sequence within Health and Physical Education and Outdoor Education for older students.  We have had assistance from professional and experienced teachers, in the development of learning objectives, lesson plans and outcomes which are relevant and achievable for each stage of learning.  We also provide opportunity to target and develop general capabilities such as personal and social awareness and ethical understanding.

Our primary objective is to ensure that students have a heap of fun, while at the same time building confidence in the water.  We develop the whole child through affective, cognitive and psychomotor domains of learning, offer opportunities to build resilience and perseverance and a sense of community in the great outdoors.

Multi-Session Passes

Enjoy your first Surf Lesson so much that you don’t want to stop there? Why don’t you keep the stoke going and improve your skills by pre-purchasing your surf lessons in advance at a discounted price?

These multi-session passes are suitable to students aged 8 years and over and can be redeemed at any of our weekend group lessons. We offer a flexible choice of either 4 or 6 sessions that are designed to assist in continually improving your surfing abilities, giving you the absolute best opportunity to progress and maintain your newly acquired skills.

Four Sessions * (expires in 45 days)

4 x 1.5 hour lessons $220.00 inc GST

Six Sessions *(expires in 60 days)

6 x 1.5 hour lessons $264.00 inc GST

Eight sessions *(expires in 90 days)

8 x 1.5 hour lessons $320.00 inc GST

Smoothstar Sessions for Schools

We bring the fun and challenge of Smoothstar skateboarding to your school!

Smoothstar boards are designed to mimic the movement of a surf board, complimenting time in the water and providing an awesome activity when students can’t get into the water.
